Junior Competitive Touring teams 2019
Information for Stud, Camp X and Nightfury
The Durham Ultimate club is proud to once
again be offering kids aged 13-18 an opportunity to play for a competitive
junior touring team that represents Durham on the provincial and possibly the
national level. The program focuses on skill development, rules knowledge, and
fosters the “Spirit of the Game” philosophy. This will be our 5th year
offering this program and every year the team gets better and better as more
players from the Durham Region come out to participate. Our junior open teams
are called Stud and Camp X and our junior women’s is called Nightfury. For all
the latest information please read below and check back for updated changes. If

Eligibility
If you are born 2001 to 2005, or if you
were born in 2000 and enrolled in high School this past year (spring 2019), you
are eligible!
DUC Junior Competitive Ultimate Program
Mission
The Durham Ultimate Club's Junior
Competitive Ultimate program strives to provide a positive and fun learning
environment where Durham Region junior players can learn and play the sport of
Ultimate in a team setting that fosters the Spirit of the Game.
Summer Schedule- 2019
Stud/Camp X:
- Practices will be held on Wednesdays, 6:30 - 8:30pm, at
Clarington Fields (4 and 5) in Bowmanville (2375 Baseline Road W,
Bowmanville)
- Tournaments: (dates are not finalized)
- Callahan for Kids, June 1st, Bowmanville
- Ontario Ultimate Championships (Regionals), July 13th and
14th, Belleville
- Toro Invite, July 20th & 21st, Toronto
- Canadian Ultimate Championships (CUC/Nationals), Aug 11th
-14th, Edmonton * we must qualify to play this tournament
Nightfury:
- Practices will be held on Wednesdays 6:30 - 8:30pm, at

Registration Checklist:
- Purchase a DUC junior membership and have your parents sign the
embedded electronic waiver. To purchase
the junior membership please go to the league homepage and look for the
link on the right side of the homepage. The cost is $20.00. (Do not buy
the adult membership which is $33.90 unless you are 18). The membership
also allows you to participate in any of the DUC leagues throughout the
year.

The DUC junior program may be able to offer
some support to athletes who wish to compete on the team but are in need of
some financial assistance. The amount of the bursary will depend on the number
of athletes who apply. Please complete this form if you would like to apply for
a bursary for this season. PLEASE NOTE - IF ANY PART OF THIS FORM IS INCOMPLETE
(EX. EMAILS DO NOT WORK) THEN THE APPLICATION IS VOID. Bursary applications are
due: May 1st.
