Hey Everyone,

Looking for some official confirmation on tiebreakers - the 7pm Rec is tight at the moment with four teams within 3 points of one another. I believe the tiebreak order is

1. Head to Head
2. Point Differential
3. Coin Toss

Would anyone be able to confirm?

Thanks

This is what I've found on our website, would still like to see someone say this this is current though.

If two or more teams end up tied in the standings at the end of the year the following tie breaker system will be used.
1. Head to Head record
2. Head to Head plus minus
3. Total points against including all games in regular season or playoff games
4. Least defaulted games
5. Spirit points
6. Coin flip

I could be wrong but this is how I see things for the 7 pm division:
1.In the last game if shark bait wins or ties then they are the champs. If they tie the game they would be tied with Top gun if Top gun wins their last game however Shark Bait beat Top gun 11-4 during the season.

2. If the Huck'n Hustlers win and top gun loses or ties, then the Huckin' Hustlers will be champs as they will have the most points.

3. If both the Huckin' Hustlers and Top gun win then we have a tie between Top gun and Huckin Hustlers. First two tie breakers do not apply as the two teams tied in their only meeting. Therefore which ever team wins their last game and gives up the least points wins since all 3 times have exactly 89 points against at the moment.
Good Luck to all teams!!!

You should have played the last point. Any finals, in any sport, whether it is quarter finals, Semi finals or finals must always have a winner. Tie breakers are used to determine standings in league play or round robin play. It says on the rule sheet that the winner of the semi final will advance to the finals. I will discuss the situation with the league executive today to see what the result should be. What are the names of the two teams? And which team refused to play the last point?

Emails have been sent to the captains. The forum is not a fast way to communicate this sort of thing.

Upon further review and investigation, the executive wants it to be known to the league’s membership that the tie-breaker rule issue noted above was the result of a misunderstanding of the rules on account of the captains/designates of both teams. WMD no more refused to play a universal point than Hammer Heads demanded that one be played. Both captains/designates left the field with an understanding of who would proceed to the finals based on the tiebreaker rules noted within the tournament day’s agenda. The executive has made a decision in this regard and both captains have agreed to the ruling. The two teams will play a semi final game at 6 pm on Tuesday and then the winner will advance to the final at 7 pm.
